Its been a nice few days. Thursday was interesting because I can't remember the last time Josh came grocery shopping with me. I think it was before Esther was born!! Since then, mostly I have just either gone alone with Esther during the day or more recently, I have left Esther with Josh and gone alone! I think grocery shopping costs more with a husband in tow. He see's all the shiny packages and gets excited. We came home with more 'sweet' things than my waistline really needs! hehe
As a fathers day treat, we stopped by half price books so Josh could pick up a copy of the first book in a commentary series he wants to collect. Most women loose their husbands to computer games, sports or the bar. I loose mine to Bible Commentaries and philosophy books. He's so cute.
We came home and I made cottage pie and then ate some delicious pie while watching dumb and dumber! I can't believe I've never seen that movie. I want to quote a favorite line, but theres too many. Lets just say...'Do you want to hear the most annoying sound in the world?'
Yesterday I took Esther to the 'big' pool. She doesn't understand that if I'm not holding her she is going to sink and kept wanting to go off alone! But, she is too scared to lie back and she freaked out when I put my face in the water! Poor thing. She was fascinated by the swimming lady, so the poor lady had to deal with us staring at her swimming up and down! After that Esther collected these colorful rings on her arms, cute.
Last night Josh and I went on a date. Our wonderful cousin Daron gave up complimentary tickets to The Circle Theater and we watched a play called 'According to Goldman'. It was amazing, the acting was fabulous. It was hilarious in parts, heart warming but also devastating. Afterwards we walked to PF Changs. I'd never been before. It was excellent. All in all a lovely date!
This morning, we actually got a sleep in, we slept until 8, hehe. Now we are just taking it easy!
